Jaitely Promises AP of Funding Support

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely has assured Andhra Pradesh on financial support from the Centre for the construction of new capital city Amaravati. He also assured that during the first five years they would give Rs2.03lakh crore to AP. Arun Jaitely, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu performed ground-breaking ceremony on AP core Capital at Lingayapalem near Guntur. Jaitely added that AP would get few more national educational institutions soon. He said he was very confident that Amaravati would be a modern capital city. The Centre is providing funds in 90:10 ratio to AP as part of the special package. He expressed his gratitude to the farmers for their support in building new business ventures. Jaitely also said that Centre will also work on creating a solution on extending capital gains tax benefit for farmers who sell their land.
Greater Amaravati will be developed like Greater Hyderabad said Union Minister for Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu. Venkaiah said that National highways in the State will be developed at an investment of Rs 64,000 crores. He also said that investments would increase in the State as there is no power shortage.
